Cell Shades

Everyone loves to decorate their houses with beautiful things to enhance its style and look. Windows and doors are the important parts of a house which are openings to the house. So it is the main area of attraction when a person enters the house.
Doors and windows (in Polish that's called Okna VELUX )  are decorated with curtains, blinds and decorative drapes. These things not only serve the purpose of decoration, but also provide a means to privacy. Apart from this, they block out light and draughts and help to create a color scheme. The selection of decorative items for windows and doors depends on their position, purpose and the overall effect they create.  
Blinds (in Poland we call those Zaluzje VELUX )are the new trend and the practical choice of window covering. They are great to completely block out light entering the rooms. When it is not used, you can fold it up neatly against the window frames. A clean and modern feel is offered by blinds whether it is plain or patterned roman blinds. Sometimes shapes of windows may not be regular. In such situations, curtains cannot be used but blinds can be used to cover up it.

The commonly used patterns in blinds are roman, roller and venetian blinds. Fabric is used for making roman blinds and it can be folded up when not used. Roller blinds use stiffened fabric for its creation and needs only less space to place it while folded. Plastic or wooden horizontal strips are used for creating Venetian blinds and it is most commonly used in offices. It can be adjusted to varying degree of light requirements.
Curtains are the commonly used way of window treatment. A variety of styles are available in this. Many extra fittings can be added to the curtains to improve its look and feel. You can use decorative swags and tails of material in curtain to perk up its beauty. Different curtain headings like pencil pleat headings, goblet, triple pleat, eyelet, tab top etc are involved in curtains to add its elegance.  Noise and light rays can be reduced by giving blackout linings in curtains. Now a day’s special rails are fitted in windows to use curtains.
Another way of decorating windows is to use the decorative drapes. In some houses there are windows that do not need to be covered for practical purposes. There you can use this drapes to decorate it. Usually chiffon or textured raw silk is used in such cases where a fabric is wrapped to arrange it on either side of the window and hook it. Decorative pelmet is another means to decorate windows where you want to emphasize the window shape.  
As the prices of energy are increasing very high, everyone looks for new innovative ideas to save money. New technology improvement has led to raise of energy efficient design plans which reduce the energy bills along with improving the look and feel of the room. Improved ideas in windows can cause a fresh new look in older homes too. While improving windows you should also consider some practical issues like security, ventilation, easiness in cleaning and accurate replacements.
