I have wood blinds that are too long for the windows so I need them cut. I don’t want to use a saw and do it myself cause i know it will jsut go to waste. Do you know where I can go to cut them without damaging the wood. I already wen to home depot, they were no help..
Have golden oak wood flooring on main floor, with light and dark furniture that varies per room. Upstairs is carpeted but all dark wood. Would it look weird from the ouside to use a light toned shade downstairs and a dark toned blind upstairs? Can different shades be used on the first floor too - where the blinds would match the wood furniture, or should it all complement the floor?
I am redoing my bathroom in a rustic style - Earthtones - twig-shelves, some barnwood, etc. (Not hillbilly-rustic, but more Rocky Mountain Lodge rustic.) I’m going to use sticks from trees in my yard to make a curtain rod for the window. The window already has wood shutters on the lower half of the window. We live in the Mountains, so I don’t need any type of “privacy curtain”, just something stylish. There used to be a valence on that window, but I think I’d like to do something different. And, I’ll probably make it myself. Any ideas?
My faux wood blinds have yellowed over the past few years, any suggestions on how to get them white again? No amount of dusting or cleaning with soapy water have returned my blinds back to their original appearance. I believe the yellowing may have been related to natural gas, as I have the same blinds in my garage and they have not yellowed. Help, I don’t want to buy new blinds to only have the same thing happen again. Thanks!
